Description of the Transfer from Naples with stop in Pompeii

  • An English Speaking Driver will pick you up in Naples train station or Naples airport.

Not everyone knows that transportation from Naples to the Amalfi Coast or Sorrento is not exactly the most comfortable experience. Forget the fast and convenient trains you might find elsewhere… Local buses and trains are often overcrowded, uncomfortable, with limited luggage space and poor air conditioning—an unpleasant surprise for many travelers.

If you want to avoid all this, the best solution is a private transfer. With a comfortable van, you’ll travel in total comfort to your destination. Spacious seating, plenty of room for your luggage, air conditioning, and even the chance to take photos of the stunning scenery—what more could you ask for?

  • Drive to Pompeii and meet our professional private guide for a 2 hours walking tour.

You will have 2 hours to visit this 2,000 year old Roman city which was all but annihilated in 79 AD when Vesuvius unexpectedly blew its top, covering the city and most of its inhabitants in 8 meters of ash and rubble. Here you are able to walk the streets of this town frozen in time where the temples, baths, villas, gardens and brothels from 2 centuries ago are still standing.

  • At the end of the tour, we’ll drive from Pompeii to your accommodation on the Amalfi Coast or Sorrento.

Now that you’ve probably visited one of the most fascinating archeological site of your life, you’re ready to start your vacation on the Amalfi Coast or in Sorrento. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the journey—an unforgettable experience in one of the most magical places in the world is about to begin!

    Frequently asked questions:

How can we meet our driver? (Airport)

Your driver will be waiting for you in the airport arrivals hall, just outside the baggage claim area, holding a SIMPLY AMALFI sign with your name on it.

If your flight is delayed, we include 1 hour of complimentary waiting time. After that, a surcharge of €40 per additional hour will apply.

In the unfortunate event that your luggage is lost, please contact us immediately using the phone number provided at booking, or step outside to inform your driver directly so he knows not to leave. (airport authorities will allow you to re-enter the lost-and-found area.)

In this case, no extra charges will apply.

In the case of a severe flight delay (over 2 hours), the company reserves the right to cancel the reservation and retain the deposit as a technical no-show, unless the waiting time can be extended depending on the day’s schedule. From the second hour onward, a surcharge of €40 per hour applies if waiting is possible.

Your driver will meet you at the end of your train’s track, holding a SIMPLY AMALFI sign with your name on it.

If needed, a more convenient meeting point can be arranged and communicated to you at the time of booking, (depending on the arrival station, eg. NAPOLI CENTRALE or NAPOLI Afragola).

Don’t worry! If your train is delayed, we offer 1 hour of complimentary waiting time. After that, a surcharge of €40 per additional hour applies.

In the unlikely event of a very long delay, we may need to adjust the schedule or, in exceptional cases, cancel the reservation (and retain the deposit) as a technical no-show, depending on the day’s itinerary. Either way, we’ll do our best to make your journey as smooth and stress-free as possible.

Important tip: We always recommend contacting your driver by phone or message to let them know your location. Sometimes passengers may miss their train or take the wrong one, and informing the driver or our office is the best way to avoid unnecessary waiting or extra charges.

We provide our services in comfortable minivans or sedans, depending on availability.

    • For 1–2 guests, we usually use a sedan.
    • For 3–8 guests, we use a minivan.

All our vehicles are air-conditioned, fully licensed, insured, and kept in top condition to make your journey as comfortable as possible.

While we cannot guarantee a specific model or configuration—sometimes changes are necessary due to maintenance, traffic, or other unforeseen circumstances—we always make sure your transfer is carried out in a first-class vehicle. You can relax knowing you’ll enjoy a safe, smooth, and enjoyable ride with all the comforts you need.

Absolutely! All our drivers are professional English-speaking chauffeurs with excellent knowledge of the region, including the Amalfi Coast, Sorrento, and Naples.
They’re happy to share local insights on history, geography, restaurants, and sightseeing, making your journey not just comfortable, but also fun and full of interesting discoveries.

At the moment, we only offer private tours and private transfers. This means that once you book, the vehicle and the driver are reserved exclusively for you and your group, allowing you to enjoy a personalized, relaxed, and intimate experience—without sharing the tour with other guests.

Our drivers are full of local knowledge and love sharing stories and insights during your ride. Thanks to their years of experience living and driving in the region, you’ll hear fascinating tidbits about the Amalfi Coast, Sorrento, Naples, and more as you travel comfortably between destinations.

However, Italian law is strict about licensed tour guides, so our drivers cannot provide guided tours outside the vehicle—in towns, museums, or historical sites. For example, during your stop in Positano, your driver will wait for you at the parking area or a pre-agreed meeting point, but cannot escort you around the village.

In short, while your driver is highly knowledgeable and will enrich your journey with local insights, he is not an official guide like those you would hire for sites such as Pompeii or the Colosseum.

Absolutely! All our tours are fully customizable to match your preferences, including stops, duration, and additional experiences such as a lemon/limoncello experience, a wine tour or an archaeological visit. Simply contact us by email to let us know your requests.

Does an 8-hour full-day tour feel too long—or would you like more time instead?

Would you like to add a stop at a local destination, combine your tour with a culinary experience or visit an archaeological site?

Just let us know, and we’ll be happy to tailor the experience to your needs.

It depends on the site or museum. Visit durations are carefully planned to give you enough time to explore, learn, and enjoy the experience at a relaxed pace, while fitting smoothly into the day’s itinerary.
On average, visits last about two hours, though this may vary depending on the site/museum selected. Any differences will be clearly communicated at the time of booking.

Yes. All guided visits inside archaeological sites and museums are conducted by official licensed tour guides. Licensed guides hold an official certification, usually issued by the State, and have completed formal studies in the history, art, and culture of the places you will visit.
Please note that the tour guide and the driver are two different professional roles. While our drivers are highly knowledgeable and share insights during the drive, only licensed guides are authorized to lead tours inside archaeological sites and museums, in accordance with Italian law.

Yes. If you feel that the standard two-hour visit is too long or too short, the duration can be adjusted to better suit your preferences. Please note that the times we suggest are carefully recommended to offer you the best possible experience at each site.
Any requested changes should be communicated at the time of booking, so we can also adapt the rest of the day’s itinerary accordingly.
Please note: Requests for visits longer than the suggested duration may involve additional costs.

If you need to reach your driver or our office, you can call or send a message to the following numbers: +393931579751 or +393382252399.

Even better, you can use WhatsApp, the most popular messaging app in Italy. It’s very convenient for staying in touch while in Italy—just download it to your mobile, complete a quick registration, and you can call or message using your mobile data connection.
