NOTE: If you wish, it is also possible to combine the Wine Tour with a visit to Amalfi instead of Ravello (or even visit both of them).
This tour option will have us leaving your accommodation to Scala, where we will go to a hidden place over 1300 feet above sea level to take wonderful pictures and then to Ravello where you will have time to visit this peaceful (and not touristy) hilltop town.
What we usually recommend to visit in Ravello is one of the two beautiful private gardens (Villa Rufolo or Villa Cimbrone) – places where the flowers and pine trees, infinity terraces and the statues will leave you breathless. From Ravello you travel up and through the Tramonti Valley, the wine region of the Amalfi Coast. Here we stop in at a small family-run winery where you will see how the wine is processed and stored with the right mix old traditions and modern techniques to achieve what you then absolutely have to savor …
During the tasting you will try red, white and sweet wines and, for the most courageous, there is also grappa!
All accompanied by local cheeses and cured meats… not enough for you?
Well, then you have the opportunity to also add the lunch option to the tour where in the same cellar, you will enjoy a delicious meal prepared by the cellar owner where you will be spoiled with great food and wine.
